Target Kids Vanity

Lately, Angelina Jolie has seemed to have made a particular effort to take her kids out, publicly, to normal kid locales. She took daughter Shiloh to a Renaissance Faire earlier this summer—still one of our favorite stories of the year—where Angelina was seen "chomping down on what appears to be a turkey leg." (The careful equivocation on the identification of the turkey leg—by TMZ—is what really gets us there.) She would later take Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne to Disneyland, where the gang was seen making its way around the premises, amidst the ordinary non-Jolie-related masses, munching on churros. And in September's Vanity Fair cover story, the actress is described as setting up life in her new Los Angeles mansion, kids bopping around with friends, the family dog sidling up next to her. Ordinary ordinary ordinary!

And now we have a new anecdote—gifted to us by Page Six—which is again centered on Jolie acting precisely as "the people" do. According to a "Page Six spy," Jolie took daughters Shiloh and Vivienne to the café inside a Target located in Eagle Rock in Los Angeles on Saturday. (Did they enter the store specifically for the café? Had they been shopping for 45 minutes beforehand, finding themselves hungry for a snack after wandering the aisles? This extremely important distinction is not made clear.) Whatever led them to this café, Jolie and her children were displeased to learn that "the location did not serve hot dogs."

"The kids were disappointed, so they all left," the spy reports. Can you imagine being the Target café employee who has to tell Angelina Jolie and her kids that you don't have the food item they want? That's not something you're going to be able to just shake off.
